Some applicants got their decision letter a month after all their documents were received by NMBI (lucky them!) while others took longer. Mine, it took the NMBI two and a half months to assess my papers. I’m not even sure about the date they sent the letter. What is certain is that my decision letter is finally here!
On September 14, 2016, NMBI updated my application status in their website from Assessment to Decision Pending which means that they will deliver the decision letter shortly by post. I was waiting for it since then but I received no mail. So yesterday, I called my agency to follow-up. True to my expectations, my decision letter has arrived already but it was sent to my agency. I was glad I called so I was able to spare myself from longer time of waiting and worrying. It was such a relief! (But I forgot to ask what the decision was. I just assumed I have to undergo the adaptation. Haha) However, I do not have a copy of the DL since I haven’t visited my agency yet. But even though my DL is here, I am having a problem with my passport. Since my current passport is expiring April next year, I need to renew it. The problem is, DFA had implemented the use of online application since June and all slots in Metro Manila offices are now full up to November. I was able to get a schedule at DFA Tuguegarao but that will be on October 21, the earliest available slot that time.
In addition to that, I heard that the next batch will be on February. At first, I was kind of frustrated. I am an impatient kind of girl who hates waiting. However, I always see the good in every situation. God must have a reason for it. First and foremost, I can still spend Christmas and New Year with my family and celebrate my brother and my father’s birthday before I leave. Second, there is a possibility that I and my friends will become batch mates in February! It must have been God’s will and I learned (with all the challenges I had faced) not to question him because He knows better than I.
So, who among you will be deployed in Beaumont Hospital? Hope to see you there next year!

Update: Here is a copy of my decision letter. To those who are still waiting for theirs, be patient. And, pray!
